It's Been Awhile...
Happy Sunday, for the first time in, well, way too long…
I took a break that turned out to be a little longer than anticipated, but I had a lot of time to think about what I want this newsletter to be.
First, I want it to be more casual and conversational. My favorite writers have a way of not only writing like they talk, but writing like they’re talking to you. It felt for a while like I was writing like I was talking at you, just sending you a weekly blog post.
Next, I want this weekly piece to be a roundup of the things I thought about or was inspired by throughout the week. Not so much a diary, but little thought threads that you can pull on, and that I might pull on in the future for actual blog articles.
If the newsletter is called Rethink The Way You Sell, I should probably give you some things to think about.
To that end, I wrote this week on LinkedIn about my experience at last week’s Sales Success Summit in Austin, and how that conference (and that group of people) has grown over the years. It was a catalyst for me to hit publish again this week.
I also spun up a sales-adjacent blog article on Friday about how I’m using AI. You’re going to see more like this in the future.
I spent a lot of time this summer rethinking my own business and path forward. There was a lot on my mind, and there still is. Not much of it would have been worth sharing here; I was more or less a caterpillar in a chrysalis.
I’m starting to emerge again, and I’ll share more about this new positioning in next week’s edition.
If you’re curious, my website is about 97% updated. The messaging isn’t perfect yet, but it tells the right story about who I help and how. I’d love to hear what you think.
